Expert Bio
Victoria Chertorivski is an intern for the Mexico Institute. She is currently a sophomore at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with a major in International Politics and a concentration in International Law. She is also minoring in Women and Gender Studies. Victoria's academic focus on human rights, gender equality, and governance — along with her experience in advocacy and research — brought her to the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Center to deepen her understanding of migration, border policy, and their gendered implications.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Victoria has always felt a deep connection to her home country, which has shaped her passion for addressing systemic inequalities and fostering collaboration between the U.S. and Mexico. During her internship at the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Center, she is especially interested in exploring how migration and border policy intersect with gender issues, and how bilateral cooperation can address the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
