Media Briefing: PM Sharif Visits Washington
After completing the first transition from one democratically elected government to another in Pakistan’s history, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will travel to Washington on October 23 to meet with President Obama. This visit marks no exception to the long-strained relations between the two allies, and a struggling economy and heightened extremist violence highlight significant domestic problems facing Pakistan.
